CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 7E <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, PE City Engineer <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: October 13, 2025 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Approval of Resolution 25-145, Change Order No. 1, Test Well <br />7B Drilling Project <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />___________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting Council approval of Change Order No. 1 for the Test Well 7B Drilling Project. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />On May 27, 2025, the City Council awarded the quote for the Test Well 7B Drilling Project to <br />Traut Companies in the amount of $107,270.00. Initial drilling of the well was completed and <br />the material encountered at the bottom of bore hole was loose and will require a screen to be <br />installed. Once the screen is installed Traut can proceed with test pumping. The screen <br />prevents an uncertain and potentially costly well development process. <br /> <br />For Council approval is Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $38,177.58. The Test Well 7B <br />Drilling Project contract with Traut Companies with Change Order No. 1 would increase to <br />$145,447.58. Funding for the project is through the Area & Unti Trunk Fund. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 25-145 for Change Order No. 1 in the amount <br />of $38,177.58 for the Test Well 7B Drilling Project. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
