CITY COUNCIL <br />STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 4.A. <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Curt Boehme , Chief of Police <br /> <br />MEETING DATE October 27, 2025 <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM: Approval of Donation of Unclaimed Property <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br />City of Lino Lakes Ordinance 213.07 authorizes the Police Department to dispose of unclaimed <br />property in a manner approved by a majority vote of the City Council. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />As part of the ongoing management of the evidence room and property in police custody, staff <br />have identified 11 bicycles that are eligible for disposal. <br /> <br />All related court and investigative matters have been resolved. Staff have also fulfilled all <br />statutory obligations to notify the necessary parties and have received no responses or claims <br />of ownership regarding the unclaimed bicycles. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommend that the council approve donating them to the non-profit organization Bikes <br />for Kids, which is located in Ham Lake, MN or other similar charitable organizations. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
