Part-time, temporary, and seasonal employees will not earn or accrue Vacation <br />leave. <br /> <br />Years of Continuous Service Per Year Per Pay Period <br />Start through 4th Year 80 hours 3.08 hours <br />Beginning 5th Year 120 hours 4.62 hours <br />Beginning 11th Year 128 hours 4.92 hours <br />Beginning 12th Year 136 hours 5.23 hours <br />Beginning 13th Year 144 hours 5.54 hours <br />Beginning 14th Year 152 hours 5.85 hours <br />Beginning 15th Year 160 hours 6.15 hours <br />Beginning 16th Year 168 hours 6.46 hours <br />Beginning 17th Year 176 hours 6.77 hours <br />Beginning 18th Year 184 hours 7.08 hours <br />Beginning 19th Year 192 hours 7.38 hours <br />Beginning 20th Year 200 hours 7.69 hours <br /> <br />Employees may not carry over more than 240 hours of accrued vacation time into the next <br />calendar year without approval from the City Administrator. <br />Employees may elect to use up to four weeks of accrued vacation at the end of their <br />employment with the City, but are not eligible for holidays, leave accruals, or paid benefits <br />during this period. <br />6.4 Leave Donation Program <br />The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for employees to voluntarily donate a <br />portion of their accrued Vacation, Sick Leave/ESST, PTO/ESST, or compensatory time to assist <br />an employee who has exhausted paid leave due to a serious illness, injury, or impairment. <br />A. Program Eligibility <br />Only regular, non-probationary employees may participate in this program as a leave donor or <br />recipient. An employee may request donated leave to care for an “immediate family” member <br />when he or she is within one pay period of depleting all paid leave and is expected to be absent <br />from work for more than five work days after exhausting all paid leave. <br />To be eligible to donate leave time to another employee, the donating employee shall maintain <br />a minimum leave balance as set forth in this policy. <br />Page 87 of 166
