• <br />• <br />COUNCIL MINUTES January 9, 2012 <br />DRAFT <br />P22 <br />1 CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />MINUTES <br />3 <br />4 DATE : January 9, 2012 <br />5 TIME STARTED : 6:30 p.m. <br />6 TIME ENDED : 7:25 p.m. <br />7 MEMBERS PRESENT : Council Member Stoesz, O'Donnell, Rafferty, <br />8 Roeser, and Mayor Reinert <br />9 MEMBERS ABSENT : none <br />10 <br />11 Staff members present: City Administrator Jeff Karison; Community Development Director Michael <br />12 Grochala; Chief of Police John Swenson; City Engineer Jason Wedel; City Planner Paul Bengtson; <br />13 Environmental Coordinator Marty Asleson; and City Clerk Julie Bartell <br />14 <br />15 OATH OF OFFICE <br />16 <br />17 The Oath of Office was administered to Mayor Reinert and Council Members Roeser and Stoesz. <br />18 <br />19 PUBLIC COMMENT <br />20 <br />21 Martha Slater, 7515 Patti Drive, noted her concern about the roadway conditions on Lilac Street. It is <br />22 very icy and has not been maintained well. Also the current speed limit of 50 mph is too high; she <br />23 noted that there are more homes in the area of the street now than when that speed limit was first <br />24 instituted. Community Development Director Grochala remarked that Lilac Street is now under city <br />25 jurisdiction and so he will inform the Public Services division of Ms. Slater's concern. <br />26 <br />27 SETTING THE AGENDA <br />28 <br />29 The agenda was approved as presented. <br />30 <br />31 CONSENT AGENDA <br />32 <br />33 Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the Consent Agenda 1A, as presented. Council Member <br />34 Roeser seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />35 <br />36 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve Consent Agenda Item 1B, as presented. Council <br />37 Member Roeser seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote; Council Member Stoesz <br />38 abstained from voting. <br />39 <br />40 ITEM ACTION <br />41 <br />42 Consideration of Expenditures: <br />43 <br />44 January 3, 2012 (Check No. 92331- <br />45 92525, $267,255.56) Approved <br />
