It's become an attractive industry for cities and it takes some <br />95 effort on the part of government to open the door and be ready. The city is already hearing some <br />96 interest from the industry. <br />97 <br />98 Council Member O'Donnell moved to waive full reading of the ordinance. Council Member Roeser <br />99 seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />100 <br />101 Council Member Roeser moved to approve the second reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 01 -02 <br />102 as presented. Council Member Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried: Yeas; 5; Nays none. <br />103 <br />104 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve Resolution No. 12 -09 as presented. Council Member <br />105 Roeser seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />106 <br />107 6B. 1St Reading of Ordinance No. 02 -12, Amending the Town Center Planned Unit <br />108 Development to add certain office uses to the civic district — City Planner Bengtson explained that <br />109 staff is recommending this amendment that will allow additional uses within the PUD section of the <br />110 City Hall complex. A portion of the City Hall complex will be vacated soon with the loss of the <br />111 ECFE and staff is attempting to lease that space; it is an appropriate time to look at allowing <br />112 additional office uses such as professional services like financial, insurance and real estate services. <br />113 He noted that the Planning and Zoning Board did approve this amendment with one negative vote. <br />114 <br />115 Council Member Rafferty moved to approve the 1st Reading of Ordinance No. 02 -12 as presented. <br />116 Council Member Roeser seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />117 <br />118 6C. Local Road Improvement Program Grant Applications <br />119 i. Resolution No. 12 -07, Supporting Local Road Improvement Program funding <br />120 application submittal for Lake and Main Intersection Improvements; <br />121 ii. Resolution No. 12 -08, Supporting Local Road Improvement Program funding <br />122 application for Birch and Ware Intersection Improvements. <br />123 <br />124 Economic Development Coordinator Divine reviewed her request that the council authorize the <br />125 submission of grant requests to the State of Minnesota for funding to assist with two intersection <br />126 improvement projects. <br />127 <br />128 Council Member Roeser moved to approve Resolution No. 12 -07 as presented. Council Member <br />129 O'Donnell seconded the motion. Motion carried on a unanimous voice vote. <br />130 <br />131 Council Member Stoesz moved to approve Resolution No. 12 -08 as presented.
