CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6D <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br />MEETING DATE: February 27, 2012 <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution No. 12 -22, Authorizing <br />Execution of Appraisal Services Contract, Otter <br />Lake Road Extension Improvement Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION: <br />Staff is requesting authorization to enter into a professional services contract with BRWK <br />Appraisals Inc. as part of the Otter Lake Road extension improvement project. BRWK has <br />submitted a proposal to prepare Right of Way acquisition appraisals for two parcels and a Special <br />Benefit appraisal report evaluating the proposed special assessments. The total proposed fee is <br />$9,400. <br />411/ BACKGROUND: <br />On January 9, 2012 the City Council received the feasibility report for the Otter Lake Road <br />Extension prepared by TKDA, the City's engineering consultant. The council held a public <br />hearing on the proposed improvements on February 13, 2012. Public testimony was received at <br />the hearing from the two property owners proposed to be assessed as well as surrounding <br />property owners. The council closed the hearing and scheduled discussion for the February 27, <br />meeting. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution No. 12 -22. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
