Here are some of the things that 1 learned in DARE that mean the
most to me. 1 hope 1 will never have any friends that smoke or
drinks and then drives. 1 feel that people who smoke, drink, or
take an illegal drug are either stupid or just plain miserable with
their life. Tobacco is one of the bad things for you. Lots of people
can stop chewing tobacco or smoking because; there is nicotine in
cigarettes that is why you should never smoke. You can even die
from tobacco even if you don't smoke. If you are around a smoker
and you inhale the smoke it can still give you lung cancer. Alcohol
is bad for you and your body. Most of the time people can have
too many drinks and get drunk. You can even die from alcohol.
You guys need to know alcohol and drugs are very bad and you
need to stay away from them and say "no ". 1 mean when you get
older you can have one drink, but at least if you do have problems
get a ride home. Better to be safe than sorry.
1, Emma Bourdaux, pledge to always, no matter what
circumstances, 1 will never smoke or take an illegal drug in my life.
1 will remember what D.A.R.E stands for. 1 thank Officer Young for
all he has taught me. 1 will resist drugs and violence.
Thank you.
t.
