P90 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 12 -44 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE BLAINE JAYCEES <br />FOR LINO LAKES BLUE HERON DAYS FESTIVAL AND HERON ROOKERY <br />MANAGEMENT <br />WHEREAS, Jaycees around the state of Minnesota are responsible for <br />organizing cormmunity festivals. fundraisers for other nonprofits, and creating <br />opportunities for community members to engage with one another through activities that <br />develop leadership among local young people; and <br />WHEREAS, The Blaine Jaycees have expressed interest in promoting and <br />growing community participation at festivals within the Anoka County area; and <br />WHEREAS, The Blaine Jaycees are donating $6,900.00 to the City of Lino <br />Lakes allocated to promote and grow the Blue Herons Days festival; and <br />WHEREAS, The Blaine Jaycees are donating $2,000.00 to the City of Lino <br />Lakes to assist with management of the Heron Rookery in Lino Lakes; and <br />WHEREAS, The Quad Area Chamber of Commerce is 2012 official financial <br />managers of Blue Heron Days. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council does hereby <br />accept the donation of $6,900.00 for purposes of providing funds to the Quad Area <br />Chamber of Commerce for family oriented activities during Blue Heron Days and $2,000 <br />to the City for management of the blue heron rookery in Lino Lakes. <br />Jeff <br />Reinert, Mayor <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 29th day of May, 2012. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council <br />Member and was duly seconded by Council Member and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
