Undesirable trees are not subject to the Tree Preservation and <br />Mitigation Standards. <br />e. On existing Tots with existing buildings where no building or <br />development activity that requires a permit or approval from the <br />City is occurring, the removal of trees is not subject to tree <br />preservation and mitigation standards. <br />f. Replacement trees shall be planted on site. <br />The applicant may request to pay a fee per tree in lieu of some or <br />all of the trees required for mitigation. At the City's discretion, the <br />City may accept the fee for planting trees within the general area <br />of the development project. The City shall maintain a standard <br />fee per tree based on the estimated market rate cost to purchase <br />and install trees. <br />
