Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 349, Section 349.1 66, Subd. 2 requires <br />that non - profit organizations applying for the exempt permit notify the city that they are <br />applying for the exemption and receive local approval. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />United Steelworkers Local 264 has scheduled a fundraising event to be held on Septemer <br />8, 2012 at Chomonix Golf Course, 700 Aqua Lane in Lino Lakes. As part of their event, <br />they would like to have a raffle. <br />The application received from the United Steelworkers Local 264 indicates they qualify <br />under city and state regulations for an exempt permit. A copy of the application is on file <br />in the city clerk's office. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Authorize local approval of a exempt permit for lawful gambling for United Steelworkers <br />Local 264. <br />P27 <br />
