WS — Item 2 <br />WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />Work Session Item No. 2 <br />Date: September 4, 2012 <br />To: City Council <br />From: Michael Grochala <br />Re: Traffic Signal Project update <br />Background <br />Bid opening for the signal project will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012. The <br />September 10, 20-12 City Council agenda will include consideration to award the contract <br />for the project. Staff will have the preliminary bid results for council discussion at the <br />work session. The project schedule is as follows: <br />Approve Plans & Specifications and Authorize Advertisement for Bids - July 25 <br />Bid Opening — August 30 <br />Award Contract — September 10 <br />Start Construction — October 1 <br />Construct -ion Complete — June 2013 <br />Staff will also provide the council with an update on the status of the TKDA <br />Supplemental Engineering request. <br />Council Direction <br />None required. <br />
