CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 2A (iii) <br />• STAFF ORIGINATOR Al Rolek <br />MEETING DATE December 10, 2012 <br />TOPIC Consideration of adopting Resolution No. 12 -124 adopting the final <br />2013 Water and Sewer Operating Budgets <br />VOTE REQUIRED Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City Council reviewed the proposed 2013 Water and Sewer Operating Budgets at their budget work <br />sessions. The budgets include the cost of depreciation of infrastructure as an expense, and recovery of this <br />cost is incorporated into the utility rate structure. Water and sewer rates are being reviewed and any <br />adjustments will be implemented in 2013. <br />It has been the practice of the City Council to adopt the Water and Sewer Operating budgets by resolution. <br />Staff recommendation is to adopt Resolution No. 12 -124 adopting the final 2013 Water and Sewer <br />Operating Budgets. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />• Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 12 -124. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Resolution 12 -124. <br />
