WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />Work Session Item No. 2 <br />Date: Council Work Session, Wednesday, June 9, 2004 <br />To: City Council <br />From: Gordon lleitke, City Administrator <br />Re: Proposed Mural <br />Background: <br />The Police Department has proposed painting a mural on the lobby wall, outside the <br />Police Department. Members of the Police Department will be at the meeting to provide <br />a more detailed explanation of what they envision and how the mural would be painted. <br />Since there are guidelines in place for the building which address appearance issues and <br />reference " a great deal of planning has been incorporated into the architecture and <br />interior design ", to is apparent to me that there has been past discussions regarding <br />building appearance. For this reason, I am bringing this idea to the Council for feedback. <br />Requested Direction: <br />Provide direction to staff as to whether the proposed mural is acceptable or not or any <br />conditions such as location, whether it is permanent or temporary, etc. <br />1 <br />
