CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 05 -24 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING LINO LAKES LIONS CLUB <br />APPLICATION FOR A 1 TO 4 DAY TEMPORARY ON -SALE LIQUOR <br />LICENSE <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute, Section 340, allows the city council to issue a temporary <br />on -sale liquor license to a non -profit organization in connection with a social event <br />sponsored by the licensee and held within the city limits; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has submitted an application to hold a <br />fundraising event at St. Joseph Catholic Church on March 5, 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has paid the required fee, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes is conducting an investigation of the Lino Lakes <br />Lions Club, and <br />WHEREAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division requires the application be <br />approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council before submitting for approval to the <br />liquor control board. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby <br />approves the request of the Lino Lakes Lions Club for a temporary on -sale liquor license, <br />pending the results of the background investigation. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 28th day of February, 2005 <br />John Bergeson, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Ann Blair, City Clerk <br />
