"Commission" means the Lino Lakes <br />Commission for Non - Household Animal Control; created pursuant to <br />216. <br />503.03 Animals. <br />Subdivision 1. Minimum Acreage. Except as provided by <br />503.04, no person shall keep or harbor animals, fowl, or bees in <br />the city or permit the same to be done upon premises owned, <br />occupied, or controlled by him, except upon a parcel of land <br />containing 10 acres or more. <br />Subd. 2. Exception. The provisions of Subdivision 1 <br />shall not apply to cats, dogs, fowl, or other similar animals such <br />as skunks, rabbits, raccoons, canaries, chickens, ducks and pigeons <br />when kept as household pets. <br />503.04 Animals, Small Lots. <br />Subdivision 1. When Permitted. Animals except swine, <br />may be kept on parcels of land containing less than ten acres but <br />containing a minimum of 2.5 acres in areas zoned "R" or "R -X ", and <br />a minimum of five acres in areas zoned "S -R" or "S -RX ". <br />Subd. 2. Registration Required. All parcels upon which <br />animals are kept as permitted by Subdivision 1 shall be registered <br />as provided by 503.05, unless the animal unit density is less than <br />0.2 per acre. <br />Subd. 3. Maximum Density. The maximum animal unit <br />density for parcels subject to 503.04 shall be 0.5 units per acre. <br />503.05 Registration. <br />Subdivision 1. Information Required. Persons desiring <br />to register land as required by 503.04 shall submit the following <br />information to the clerk - treasurer: <br />(1) Name and address of applicant; <br />(2) A certified copy of title or deed to the parcel, <br />or the previous year's tax statement for the <br />103 <br />
