• <br />• <br />Engineering staff has established the following OCI categories to describe the conditions of the <br />roadways: <br />Adequate — Overall Condition Index (OCI) 70.01 -100 <br />Marginal — Overall Condition Index (OCI) 40.01 -70 <br />Problem — Overall Condition Index (OCI) 0 -40 <br />Photographs of representative road sections for each OCI category are included as Figure 3. <br />EXISTING ROADWAY PAVEMENT CONDITIONS <br />Most of the roadway system at this time is in good condition, but is approaching a critical stage. <br />The average city standard (a) roadway is 9 years old and has been sealcoated once. The average <br />non - standard (b) roadway is 19 years old and has been sealcoated twice. A breakdown of the <br />City's roadway overall condition is: <br />Overall Condition Index Mileage Percent of System <br />Adequate category - 70.01 -100 53 miles 63% <br />Marginal category - 40.01 -70 20 miles 24% <br />Problem category 0 -40 11 miles 13% <br />(a) "Standard roadway" means a roadway within the City of Lino Lakes, which is in general <br />conformance with the City standard as set forth in Section 302 of the City Code. They are <br />commonly recognized as having a properly graded hard surface with normal crowns, width, <br />strength, acceptable drainage systems and concrete curb and gutter on both sides. <br />(b) "Non- standard roadway" means a roadway located in the City of Lino Lakes, which is not in <br />general conformance with the City standards as set forth in Section 302 of the City Code. <br />They are commonly recognized as lacking a critical component such as strength, adequate <br />drainage or concrete curb and gutter but may have some or all of these or other components. <br />411 Appendix A is a map of all City roadways showing their OCI classification. The specific OCI <br />rating for each roadway segment is contained in Appendix B. <br />7 <br />-130- <br />
