OBJECTIVE <br />Support the continuation of the administrative review process to <br />streamline the planning process for development proposals. <br />GOAL THREE <br />Provide continuous and effective coordination and facilitation of the economic <br />development process. <br />1. OBJECTIVE <br />Work in coordination with planning, engineering, finance and environment to <br />provide comprehensive departmental procedures for effective and orderly <br />strategies to enable potential new businesses to come to Lino Lakes. <br />2. OBJECTIVE <br />Review changes to comprehensive zoning ordinances that are developed and /or <br />proposed to be developed to reflect the changing quality of commercial and <br />industrial development in the city. <br />3. OBJECTIVE <br />Identify changing opportunities and constraints and adapt the city's criteria for <br />prospect selection to achieve the highest quality commercial and industrial <br />development possible. <br />GOAL FOUR <br />Establish a long range improvement plan for the "doors" and "windows" of <br />Lino Lakes to redevelop blighted and substandard areas. <br />1. OBJECTIVE <br />Attract new businesses that are complementary to existing businesses and <br />residential areas, and will contribute to the customer attraction and business <br />interchange of local commercial areas. <br />3. OBJECTIVE <br />Commit city financial and staff resources to the redevelopment of commercial <br />and industrial properties. <br />4. OBJECTIVE <br />Ensure that commercial areas surrounded by residential land uses are designed <br />to compatibly coexist, creating a physical sense of neighborhood and an <br />interrelationship between the two land uses. <br />5 <br />
