WS -2 <br />WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />Work Session Item No. 2 <br />Date: Council Work Session, Wednesday, June 22, 2005 <br />To: City Council <br />From: Gordon Heitke, City Administrator <br />Re: Street Reconstruction Communication Plan <br />Background <br />Representatives of Springsted Inc. appeared before the Council at the May 18, 2005 work <br />session to discuss assisting the City with preparing and implementing a communication <br />plan for the purpose of educating the public for the anticipated November, 2005 street <br />reconstruction referendum. It was decided that they would appear before the Council <br />with more information at a future meeting. Attached is a proposed work plan and cost <br />estimates for the project. Representatives from Springsted Inc. and Himle Horner will be <br />present to discuss the proposal. <br />Requested Council Direction <br />Staff is requesting that the City Council provide any further direction to city staff and or <br />consultants and determine whether this issue is to be placed on the regular June 27, 2005 <br />agenda for action. <br />Attachments <br />1.
