J%,Torth Metro <br />;x_Telecommunications Commission <br />Media Center <br />July 21, 2005 <br />Mr. Dan Tesch <br />City of Lino Lakes <br />600 Town Center Parkway <br />Lino Lakes, MN 55110 <br />RE: APPROVAL OF 2006 COMMISSION AND MEDIA CENTER BUDGETS <br />Dear Mr. Tesch: <br />Enclosed, please find for the council's review and approval the 2006 Budgets for both the North <br />Metro Telecommunications Commission ( "Commission. ") and the North Metro Media Center <br />( "Media Center "). <br />I. 2006 COMMISSION BUDGET <br />The Commission's operating budget for 2006 is proposed at $522,855. This is an increase of <br />$48,136 over the 2005 budget. The 2006 budget is higher due to a new savings line item <br />dedicated to future building repairs, funds dedicated to I -net consulting, and the inclusion of half <br />the Master Control Operator's compensation. <br />Recommendation: That the Member Cities approve the 2006 Commission Budget as <br />recommended by the Telecommunications Commission and the <br />Operations Committee. <br />II. 2006 MEDIA CENTER BUDGET <br />The amended Joint Powers Agreement established an "Operations Committee" which is <br />composed of Member City administrators. Their primary responsibility is to provide input to the <br />operation and budget of the Community Media Center.
