• <br />• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 1B <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR Al Rolek <br />MEETING DATE October 24, 2005 <br />TOPIC Consider Resolution 05 -157 Authorizing the Certification of <br />Delinquent Water and Sewer Utility Charges for collection with 2005 <br />Property Taxes Payable in 2006 <br />VOTE REQUIRED <br />BACKGROUND <br />Simple Majority (3/5) <br />Staff periodically brings before the City Council delinquent water and sewer utility charges for <br />certification to the County Auditor for collection with the following year property taxes. Affected <br />property owners received mailed notice of this proceeding and have been allowed ample time to <br />pay the delinquent charges. <br />Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution 05 -157 authorizing the certification of <br />delinquent water and sewer utility charges to be collected with 20054 property taxes payable in <br />2006 at an interest rate of 8% per annum. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1) Adopt Resolution No. 05 -157. <br />2) Return to staff for further review. <br />3) Do not adopt Resolution No. 05 -157. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option 1. <br />
