The Sesquicentennial Executive Board (SEB) and the Anoka County 1 50 <br />Committee (AC150) are organizing tours, lectures, exhibits, contests, drawings, and <br />events that will bring the county's history alive for people of all ages. Event participants can <br />also take home a piece of history with souvenirs like a "Then and Now" photo book, CD, or <br />reproduced historic postcards. <br />• Goals for the Celebration • <br />The Sesquicentennial will be an integrated series of activities with the intent of: <br />• Fostering a sense of community and county identity in the citizens of all Anoka County <br />communities; <br />• Educating Anoka County's citizens about their communities' history and instilling re- <br />spect for our shared heritage; <br />• Inspiring our citizens to seek greater knowledge of and understanding about our <br />County's past and engaging them in collecting history for the future; <br />• Creating festivity around the celebration of 150 years of Anoka County's history. <br />• Get Involved • <br />Want to be a part of this countywide event? Partnering with municipalities, nonprofit or- <br />ganizations, local businesses, and community groups will ensure this celebration's success <br />and its countywide focus.
