Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11 -06 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS MAIN <br />STREET /LAKE DRIVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the intersection of Main Street and Lake Drive is currently experiencing growing <br />congestion and safety problems; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the health, welfare, and safety of the City and its <br />residents that the City construct improvements to the intersection of Main Street and Lake <br />Drive including installation of traffic signals, widening, median placement and resurfacing; and <br />WHEREAS, City residents approved a ballot question in the November 2010 general election <br />authorizing the issuance of General Obligation Bonds to finance said improvements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />The City Engineer, TKDA, is designated as the engineer for this improvement and is directed <br />to prepare plans and specifications for the making of the improvements. <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this day of , 2011. <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />• <br />
