CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 26-41 ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, BID PACKAGE NO. 1, BID CATEGORY 03B, PRECAST CONCRETE, PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Public Works Building Improvement Project, bids were received for Bid Package No. 1, Bid Category 03B, Precast Concrete, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Base Bid Alt No. 1 Total Molin Concrete Products $4,185,150 ($81,089) $4,104,061 The Well Companies, Inc. $5,110,461 ($352,088) $4,758,373 and WHEREAS, it appears that Molin Concrete Products, of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interests of the City to award the based bid and alternative bid, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that: The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Molin Concrete Products, in the amount of $4,104,061, in the name of the City of Lino Lakes, for the construction of the Public Works Building Bid Package 1, Bid Category 03B, Precast Concrete, according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the Bid Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23rd day of March, 2026.
