CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 26-43 <br />ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, BID PACKAGE <br />NO. 1, BID CATEGORY 05B, STEEL ERECTION, <br />PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Public <br />Works Building Improvement Project, bids were received for Bid Package No. 1, Bid Category <br />05B, Steel Erection, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were <br />received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />Base Bid <br />Total <br />J&L Steel Erectors <br />$420,000 <br />$420,000 <br />Amerect Inc. <br />$444,000 <br />$444,000 <br />Topline Steel Corporation <br />$476,000 <br />$476,000 <br />KMH Erectors, Inc. <br />$487,400 <br />$487,400 <br />Red Cedar Steel Erectors Inc. <br />$530,500 <br />$530,500 <br />Patriot Erectors Inc. <br />$693,250 <br />$693,250 <br />and <br />WHEREAS, two bids were disqualified for not meeting bidding requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that J&L Steel Erectors, of Savage, Minnesota, is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interests of the City to award the <br />based bid, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with J&L <br />Steel Erectors , in the amount of $420,000, in the name of the City of Lino Lakes, for the <br />construction of the Public Works Building Bid Package 1, Bid Category 05B, Steel Erection, <br />
