Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 11 -54 <br />AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EVENT AND TEMPORARY LIQUOR PERMIT <br />FOR A BENEFIT AT AMERICAN LEGION POST 566 <br />WHEREAS, Ms. Anna Swanson and American Legion Post 566 have submitted an <br />application for a special event permit; and <br />WHEREAS, the event planned is a benefit on June 4, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 <br />p.m. at American Legion Post 566 located at 7731 Lake Drive that includes food, <br />music, carnival games, as well as a silent and live auction; and <br />WHEREAS, American Legion Post 566 has applied for a temporary on -sale liquor <br />license to allow the consumption of alcoholic beverages in a fenced area outside of <br />their building; and <br />WHEREAS, American Legion Post 566 has submitted proof of liquor and general <br />liability insurance that extends to the entire benefit area; and <br />WHEREAS, based on a review of the application, staff has composed a list of <br />conditions relative to the event and facilities; <br />Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes: <br />That the City Council authorizes issuance of a Special Event Permit to Anna <br />Swanson and American Legion Post 566, for a special event and temporary liquor <br />license on June 4, 2011. <br />Approved by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23rd day of May, <br />2011. <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Council Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />• <br />
