The mayor <br />indicated that he would read the memo at the council meeting so the citizens can be aware <br />of any impacts to the city. <br />1. Review Regular Agenda — The agenda for the evening's council meeting was <br />reviewed. <br />Item 1A) Expenditures — A council member questioned a line item related to repair of <br />catch basins. Staff will follow up with an explanation of the day to day repairs that are <br />done. <br />Item 3A) Position Reclassification — Administration Director Tesch explained that this <br />reclassification request is part of the larger organization restructuring; this would be <br />phase one. <br />Item 6B) Vacation of Easement for YMCA — City Planner Bengtson explained that the <br />existing easement was originally planned for a playground but there is no need to <br />continue it since there is plenty of open space. Vacating the easement will allow the <br />addition of needed parking. A council member asked if there is any news regarding the <br />YMCA sign request and Mr. Bengtson explained that the matter is in the hands of the <br />YMCA as far as their budget. <br />Item 6D) Interim Use Permit for Temporary Batch Plant — Planner Bengtson <br />reported that this item comes at the request of Arnt Construction for a permit that would <br />allow them to operate a batch plant in connection with the 135E project. The request has <br />been reviewed by staff under the appropriate criteria and staff is now presenting findings <br />that support approval of the proposed use.
