Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: COUNTY OF ANOKA CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 11 -81 AWARDING CLEANING CONTRACT TO JANI -KING OF MINNESOTA, INC. WHEREAS, the Public Services Department currently employs a full -time Building Custodian to clean the Civic Complex. In addition, part-time staff is used to provide cleaning duties at the Public Works facility and provide assistance as needed at the Civic Complex; and WHEREAS, as part of the overall organizational assessment process, staff explored the costs of contracting out cleaning services; and WHEREAS, cleaning service companies were contacted to submit cleaning proposals for the Civic Complex (City Hall and Police Departments) and the Public Works facility; and WHEREAS, after careful examination, staff has concluded that Jani -King provides the best proposal for cleaning services at the Civic Complex and the Public Works facility; and WHEREAS, the term of the initial Maintenance Agreement is for one (1) year from the date services are scheduled to commence. There is also a provision for terminating the agreement for non - performance issues. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes that the City Council authorizes staff to enter into an agreement with Jani -King of Minnesota, Inc. to provide cleaning services for the City of Lino Lakes. Approved by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 8th day of August, 2011.
