;;A Metropolitan Council <br />AA <br />August 15, 2011 <br />Mike Grochala, Community Development Director <br />City of Lino Lakes <br />600 Town Center Parkway <br />Lino Lakes, MN 55014 <br />RE: City of Lino Lakes 2030 Comprehensive Plan — Final Action <br />Metropolitan Council Review File No. 20653 -2 <br />Metropolitan Council District 11, Sandy Rummel <br />Dear Mike: <br />The Metropolitan Council has completed its review of the City of Lino Lakes 2030 <br />Comprehensive Plan (t_Tpdate). The Council based its review on the staff's report and analysis <br />(Business Item 2011-197, attached). <br />At its August 10, 2011, meeting, the Council found that the Update meets all of the Metropolitan <br />Land Planning Act requirements; conforms to the regional system plans for transportation, <br />waster resources management, and parks, is consistent with the 2030 Regional Development <br />Framework; and is compatible with the plans of adjacent and affected jurisdictions. There, the <br />City may place the Update into effect. <br />The Council adopted the Advisory Comments and Review Record in the staff report and adopted <br />the following actions: <br />1. Authorize the City of Lino Lakes to put its 2030 Comprehensive Plan Update into effect. <br />2. Advise the City to: <br />a. Continue to participate in the Council's Plat Monitoring Program. <br />b. Implement the advisory comments for Transportation. Surface Water <br />Management, and Water Supply. <br />3. Approve the City of Lino Lakes Tier II Comprehensive Sewer Plan. <br />Please consult the attached staff report for important information about the next steps that the <br />City should take.
