P26 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />PROCLAMATION <br />CONSTITUTION WEEK <br />SEPTEMBER 17 -23, 2011 <br />WHEREAS, our Founding Fathers, in order to secure the blessings of liberty for <br />themselves and their posterity, did ordain and establish a Constitution for the <br />United States; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is important that all citizens fully understand the provisions and <br />principles contained in the Constitution in order to effectively support, preserve <br />and defend against all enemies; and, <br />WHEREAS, September 17, 2011, marks the two hundred twenty -third <br />anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by <br />the Constitutional Convention; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to accord official recognition of this magnificent <br />document and its memorable anniversary; and, <br />WHEREAS, the independence guaranteed to American citizens, whether by birth <br />or naturalization, should be celebrated during Constitution Week, September 17 <br />through 23, 2011, as designated by proclamation of the President of the United <br />States of America in accordance with Public Law 915; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Jeff Reinert, Mayor of the City of <br />Lino Lakes, do hereby proclaim the week of September 17 through 23, 2011 as <br />CONSTITUTION WEEK <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the <br />Seal of the City of Lino Lakes to be affixed. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council on September 12, 2011. <br />Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />• <br />
