• <br />• <br />• <br />R 33 <br />( 'R Qd1Se ) <br />AGENDA ITEM 3C <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Jeff Karlson, City Administrator <br />MEETING DATE: December 12, 2011 <br />TOPIC: Labor Agreement with AFSCME <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />We have reached a tentative one -year agreement with AFSCME, Local No. 2454 for <br />2012. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The members have agreed to the following terms: <br />1. WAGES: A 1% wage increase effective December 30, 2012. <br />2. HEALTH INSURANCE: Article 16 revised to read: <br />a) Effective January 1, 2012, Employer will contribute $333.99 toward the premium <br />for single coverage and $855.66 toward the premium for family coverage. The <br />Employer's contribution for the Health Savings Account (HSA) toward the annual <br />deductibles will be $1,500 for single coverage and $3,000 for family coverage. <br />The cash option for waiving health insurance coverage will be the same as the <br />single HSA premium, which is $308.44 after Social Security and Medicare taxes <br />have been deducted. <br />3. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING: No change in compensation for <br />position reclassified from Parks & Rec. Office Manager to Office Technician II. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize execution of 2012 labor agreement between the City of Lino Lakes and Local <br />No. 2454 of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, AFL - <br />CIO. <br />
