• <br />• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 7E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Powell, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: January 14, 2002 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 02 -04, Receive Feasibility Study for the Marshan <br />Lane Utility Improvements. <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On September 25, 2002, the City received a petition from residents and property <br />owners on Marshan Lane, east of Lake Drive, for preparation of a report on <br />sanitary sewer and water service. Trunk sanitary sewer and water main are <br />close to the project area at the intersection of Lake Drive and Town Center <br />Parkway. <br />At the October 8, 2001, City Council meeting, the study was ordered to address, <br />on a preliminary basis, design, cost, assessment, schedule, and other issues as <br />they relate to providing City utility service to this area. <br />The study is being prepared and will be delivered to the City Council at the <br />meeting Monday evening. <br />The only City Council action requested is to receive the report. This information <br />will be forwarded to the interested parties for their determination as to whether or <br />not they want to continue with public improvement process. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Return to staff for further review. <br />2. Adopt Resolution No. 02 -04, Receive Feasibility Study for the Marshan Lane <br />Utility Improvements. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No. 2 - Staff recommends that Resolution No. 02 -04 be adopted. <br />
