VonDeLinde <br />Director <br />March 8, 2002 <br />Marty Asleson <br />Environmental Specialist <br />City of Lino Lakes <br />600 Town Center Parkway <br />Lino Lakes, MN 55014 <br />Re: Anoka County's Recommendation for Geographical Placement of the Proposed "Slow /No <br />Wake Zone" Boundary Line on Peltier Lake <br />Dear Mr. Asleson, <br />Based on a comprehensive review and analysis of scientific literature and considering the public <br />testimony provided at the Lino Lakes City Council Work Session on March 6, 2002, the Anoka <br />County Parks and Recreation Department is submitting the following recommendation, in the <br />way of two(2) alternatives, to the City of Lino Lakes and City of Centerville regarding the <br />geographical placement of the proposed "Slow /No Wake Zone" boundary line on the north end <br />of Peltier Lake: <br />Alternative #1 <br />A "Slow /No Wake Zone" north of a line running east and west located along the surface water <br />segments of the southern parcel line of Sections 10 and 11, Township 31 North — Range 22 <br />West (within the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota) and angling approximately 50 degrees north <br />northeast from a point on the Section 11 parcel Tine located directly south of the southeast <br />corner of the island to the east shore of the lake as marked by buoys. The point on the east <br />shoreline is located on Ronald Marier's property, due west of the southernmost of the two <br />outbuildings and would be identified with a permanent survey marker. The point on the west <br />shoreline is located on Anoka County's property, and would be identified by a permanent survey <br />marker. <br />
