Loyalty Day <br />• /e/r/4. <br />• <br />• <br />J; " <br />ieeite 1, The citizens of this city are extremely proud of this nation's <br />more than 200 -year heritage of freedom and are loyal to the <br />ideals, traditions and institutions which have made our nation <br />so great, and <br />Their obvious education to our way of life is indicative of a <br />strong, continued desire to preserve the priceless American <br />heritage, and <br />They will be proud to stand and publicly declare their deter- <br />mination toward actively and positively safeguarding our free- <br />doms against any foreign or domestic enemies, now <br />e.:11ite eye 1 Mayor /Chairman of the <br />city /town of , do hereby call <br />upon all my fellow citizens to take full advantage of the spe- <br />cial occasion known as Loyalty Day, celebrated annually for <br />over 40 years throughout the nation on the first day of Maj; as <br />an incentive for every true American to reaffirm his and her <br />love of flag and country, and I urge that all individuals, <br />schools, churches, organizations, business establishments <br />and homes within my official jurisdiction to display proudly <br />the flag of the United States and participate in public patriot- <br />ic Loyalty Day activities which are to be co- sponsored by the <br />VFW and the Ladies Auxiliary on Loyalty Day, May 1, 2002. <br />VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS <br />(Mayor /Chairman, Board of Selectmen) <br />(Date) <br />
