• <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />VOTE REQUIRED: <br />BACKGROUND: <br />AGENDA ITEM 713 <br />Michael Grochala <br />June 24, 2002 <br />Resolution No. 02 -71, Approving Joint <br />Powers Agreement with Anoka County — <br />Lake/Apollo Traffic Signals <br />Simple Majority <br />Anoka County has provided the City with a Joint Powers Agreement for the <br />reconstruction of County State Aid Highway 23 (Lake Drive). The agreement sets forth <br />the roles and responsibilities of both the County and City for construction of the <br />improvements. <br />The project is being undertaken as a City project with the associated costs assessed to <br />the benefiting property owners (Market Place and Lino Lakes Commercial). However, <br />since the intersection of Lake Drive and Apollo Drive has met warrants for a traffic <br />control signal the County is financially participating in accordance with County cost <br />sharing policy. <br />The Joint Powers Agreement provides for the payment by Anoka County to the City an <br />estimated $40,729.50 for their share of the traffic signals. <br />Staff is recommending approval of the agreement. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Return to staff for further review. <br />2. Adopt Resolution Number 02 -71, approving the Joint Powers Agreement <br />3.
