• <br />• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM NO. 6A <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: June 24, 2002 <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Receiving Bids and Awarding <br />Timberwolf Trail Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />This trail project is located at the end of Timberwolf Trail and will provide a connection <br />for residents in the Pheasant Hills Development to the Regional Park Trail system. City <br />staff reviewed the project on -site with three contractors. On Friday, June 7, 2002 bids <br />were opened for the Timberwolf Trail Project. Bids were submitted as follows: <br />T.A. Schifsky and Sons Inc. $33,966 <br />Arcade Asphalt $37,750 <br />Buck Blacktop No Bid <br />Based on the bids received, staff recommends awarding the Timberwolf Trail Project to <br />T.A. Schifsky and Sons Inc. for a base bid of $33,966. The scheduled final completion <br />date is July 12, 2002. <br />The funding for this project is the Dedicated Parks Fund. This project was approved by <br />the City Council as a component of the Park Board's 2001 Goals. <br />OPTIONS <br />1. Receive bids and award Timberwolf Trail Project to T.A. Schifsky and Sons Inc. <br />for a base bid in the amount of $33,966. <br />2.
