CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ORDINANCE NO. 10-02 <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE 18-95 <br />ESTABLISHING POSITION AND DUTIES OF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of Lino Lakes adopted Ordinance 18 -95 to <br />establish an electrical inspector position rather than receive services from the State of <br />Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the contractor acting as electrical inspector for the City has failed to <br />comply with contract requirements and the contract has been terminated; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has the ability and availability to provide <br />electrical inspections; and <br />WHEREAS, the State cannot contract with the City to provide services unless <br />Ordinance 18 -95 is repealed; and <br />WHEREAS, termination of the previous contract has occurred on very short <br />notice and the City does not want to deprive property owners of electrical inspections that <br />are necessary for health and safety and therefore declares this an Emergency Ordinance <br />that is effective the date it is adopted . <br />NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO LAKES ORDAINS: <br />Ordinance 18 -95, Establishing the Position and Duties of Electrical Inspector is repealed. <br />Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council this 9th day of September, 2002. <br />John J.
