City Council Meeting <br />Brausen Vacation <br />September 23, 2002 <br />ANALYSIS <br />The subject drainage and utility easement exists as two standard five -foot side yard <br />drainage and utility easements, one on Lot 4 and one on Lot 3. Since the two five -foot <br />easements are on adjacent lots, the combined easement area measures approximately <br />10'X144.' <br />City engineer Jim Studenski has reviewed this application and reports that there are no <br />utilities or storm sewers located in the easement area. As a result, there should be no <br />negative impact to vacating the easement area. <br />CONCLUSION <br />This is a request for the Vacation of two standard five -foot side yard drainage and utility <br />easements. Since the two properties have now been combined into a single tax parcel <br />with one PIN, and there are no utilities or storm sewers sited in the easement area, it is <br />appropriate to vacate the easement. <br />OPTIONS <br />1.) Approval of the Vacation: Ordinance No. 09 -02. <br />2.) Denial of the Vacation. <br />3.) Return to staff with direction. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Option #1. <br />2 <br />
