• <br />• <br />Council Member <br />and moved its adoption: introduced the following resolution <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000 - 12 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM THE CENTENNIAL FIRE DISTRICT <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department began teaching the <br />D.A.R.E. program in local elementary schools in January <br />of 1995, and the middle school in 1998; and <br />WHEREAS, the curriculum, developed by educators, is a drug <br />prevention curriculum taught by specially selected and <br />trained uniformed police officers; and <br />WHEREAS, the Centennial Fire District was made aware of the <br />desire for the Lino Lakes Police Department to teach <br />this program in the middle school and elementary <br />schools and has donated $2,000.00 to the City to defer <br />the cost of this program, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes <br />hereby accepts the donation of $2,000.00 toward the cost of the <br />D.A.R.E. program and wishes to express its gratitude to the <br />Centennial Fire District for its donation. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 14th day of February, <br />2000. <br />John J.
