• 7, COUNCIL MINUTES <br />• Staff recommended adoption of a motion approving the block party. <br />• <br />• <br />MAY 24, 1999 <br />Council Member Lyden moved to approve the application for a block party on Glen Circle as <br />presented. Council Member Bergeson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of an Application for a Block Party, Hunters Ridge - A request has been made <br />to hold a block party on Hunters Ridge July 17, 1999, 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Staff referred <br />to a map that indicated the location of the proposed party and the property owners who <br />acknowledged they have been notified of the party. <br />Staf <br />d <br />ed the location of the proposed party is not on a cul -de -sac. There is nothing in the City <br />c -'s that prohibits a block party that is not on a through street. The street will be blocked <br />oth ends of the party location. <br />It was determined that Council will get a statement from Chief Pecchia regarding block parties <br />being held on through streets. Council will discuss the issue at the next Council work session. <br />Council Member Lyden moved to approve the applicatio r a . ck party on Hunters Ridge as <br />presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 99 - 39 can be found at the end of these minutes. <br />Resignation of Street Maintenance Employee - Mr. Chuck Wilke has submitted his resignation <br />from the Public Works Department to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Wilke's last day of <br />employment was May 20, 1999. <br />Council Member Bergeson moved to accept Mr. Wilke's resignation, as presented. Council <br />Member Lyden seconded the motion.
