Planning & Zoning Board <br />May 11, 2011 <br />Page 2 <br />A PPROVED MINUTES <br /> March 9, 2011 <br /> <br />Due to lack of a quorum of board members who were present at the March meeting, the <br />board was unable to vote on the March minutes. Therefore the minutes were table d to the <br />next board meeting. <br /> <br />I V . OPEN MIKE <br /> <br />Chair Tralle declared O pen M ike at 6:36 p.m . <br /> <br />There w as no one present for Open Mike. <br /> <br />Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION to close Open Mike at 6 :37 p.m. M otion was supported by <br />M r . Nelson . Motion carried 5 - 0 . <br /> <br />V. ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. P UBLIC HEARING to conside r Amending the Conditional Use Permit for a <br />motor fuel statio n to allow for the installation of new gas pumps and canopy, <br />located at 7997 Lake Drive <br /> <br />City Planner, Jeff Smyser , presented the staff report. Staff recommended continuation of <br />the C UP Amendment as staff was awaiting additional information from the appli cant . <br /> <br />C hair Tralle declared the Public Hearing open at 6 :37 p.m. <br /> <br />There was no one present to speak. <br /> <br />Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION at 6:38 p.m. to continue the Public Hearing to the next <br />meeting . Motion was supported by Mr. Nelson . Motion carried 5 - 0. <br /> <br />B. PU BLIC HEARING to consider Amending Section 2 of the Zoning Ordinance <br />which includes requirements for zoning amendments, conditional use permits, <br />interim use permits, variances and appeals, administrative permits, site and <br />building plan reviews, and planned unit developments <br /> <br />City Planner, Jeff Smyser, presented the staff report. Staff distributed revised text due to <br />a n amendment by the MN State Legislature regarding variances. <br /> <br />Staff addressed questions of the board. <br /> <br />Chair Tralle declared the Public Hearin g open at 7 :53 p.m. <br /> <br />There was no one present to speak. <br /> <br />B oard Members discussed and proposed a number of changes to the text.
