Planning & Zoning Board <br />June 9, 2010 <br />Page 2 <br />APPROVED MINUTES <br />in environmentally sensitive areas, tree preservati on, landscaping, planned unit <br />developments, and platting. <br /> <br />Associate Planner, Paul Bengtson, presented the sta ff report. <br /> <br />Ciara Schlichting, Bonestroo, gave a brief overview of the revisions that were made and <br />answered questions from board members. <br /> <br />Mr. Laden arrived at 6:38 p.m. <br /> <br />Staff recommended approval of the amendments to the Zoning Ordinance and the City <br />Code. <br /> <br />Chair Tralle opened the Public Hearing at 6:44 p.m. There was no one present to speak. <br /> <br />Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION to close the Public Hearin g at 7:13 p.m. Motion was <br />supported by Mr. Nelson. Motion passed 5-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Root made a MOTION to recommend approval of the amendments to the Zoning <br />Ordinance and the subdivision chapter of the City C ode regarding development in <br />environmentally sensitive areas, tree preservation, landscaping, planned unit <br />developments, and platting. Motion was supported b y Mr. Nelson. Motion passed 5-0. <br /> <br />VI. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />A. Outdoor sales, including farmer’s markets and roads ide stands <br /> <br />Mr. Bengtson presented the current ordinance requir ements for outdoor sales and <br />roadside stands, and some information staff gathere d on the regulation of farmer's <br />markets. The Board directed staff to complete furt her research and return with draft <br />language. <br /> <br />B. Building materials and architectural standards <br /> <br />Mr. Bengtson presented the current ordinance requir ements for building materials and <br />architectural standards. The Board directed staff to complete further research and return <br />with draft language. <br /> <br />VII. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Mr. Nelson made a MOTION to adjourn the meeting at 7:18 p.m. Motion was supported <br />by Mr. Hyden.
