• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 7P <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: John Powell, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: November 13, 2000 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 00 -115, Approve Easement Grant to the <br />Metropolitan Council for the Centerville Interceptor Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Easements are required along the west side of Elmcrest Avenue for the <br />installation of the Centerville Interceptor by the Metropolitan Council. This <br />easement would be located on a small portion of the property that the City <br />recently acquired from Lino Lakes, LLC. The proposed settlement from the Met <br />Council's attorney has been reviewed by the City's Attorney who recommends <br />approval as shown on the attached correspondence. The estimated $20,387.56 <br />payment from the Met Council should be placed in the Surface Water <br />Management Fund. This fund was used to purchase the underlying property <br />from Lino Lakes, LLC. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Return to staff for further review. <br />2. Not approve Resolution No. 00 -115. <br />3. Approve Resolution No. 00 -115, approving the Easement Grant to the <br />Metropolitan Council for the Centerville Interceptor project. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Resolution No. 00 -115 be adopted. <br />
