COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 14, 2000 <br />SECOND READING, Ordinance No. 12 — 00, Adopting the Minnesota Uniform Fire Code (3/5 • <br />Vote Required), Milo Bennett — Staff advised every 3 -4 years, the State of Minnesota adopts an <br />updated Uniform Fire Code. When the state adopts this code, it becomes the fire code to be used <br />throughout the state. <br />By adopting the same code, it gives the local fire inspectors the authority to enforce the code when <br />doing their inspections. This has proven to be very beneficial in reducing the fire losses and the <br />adoption of this code is standard practice in a large number of communities. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve SECOND READING, Ordinance No. 12 — 00, as <br />presented. Council Member Dahl seconded the motion. <br />Council Member Carlson voted yea. Council Member Dahl voted yea. Council Member O'Donnell <br />voted yea. Council Member Reinert voted yea. Mayor Bergeson voted yea. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />The City Attorney advised the ordinance will go into effect 3 daft blication. <br />Ordinance No. 12 — 00 can be found in the City Clerk' offi tee. <br />Consider Resolution No. 2000 — 75, Accepting "° °ion from Centennial Fire Relief <br />Association, Chief Pecchia — Staff advised the enten Fire District has graciously donated <br />$1,332.00 to offset the cost to match funds} or a t t• purchase a total of six (6) Tire Deflation <br />devices. The Lino Lakes Police Depart t r - ceive • a grant to purchase three (3) sets of Tire <br />Deflation devices. Part of the grant r en to provide matching funds.
