• <br />• <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />VOTE REQUIRED: <br />Background: <br />AGENDA ITEM IC <br />Milo Bennett, Fire Chief <br />December 5, 2000 <br />Donation to the Centennial Fire District from <br />the Centennial Fire Relief Association. <br />Simple Majority <br />In the past years, funds from gambling profits have been donated to the <br />Centennial Fire District, from the Centennial Fire Relief Association for <br />many purposes. The current donation has been given to the district to <br />purchase a new copy machine for the main office and a Thermal Image <br />Camera for fighting fires. <br />This donation amount given is as follows: $19,703 for the purchase of the <br />camera and $9,090 for the new copy machine. This total donation amounts <br />to $28,793. <br />We are very grateful to the Centennial Fire Relief Association for all their <br />past and present donations to our district. <br />This check has been written to the City of Lino Lakes, so that it complies <br />with the Gambling Control Laws. A check in return will need to be written <br />from the City of Lino Lakes to the Centennial Fire District to transfer over <br />these funds. <br />Options: <br />No action is needed, other than to accept the generous donation received <br />from the Centennial Fire Relief Association to the Centennial Fire District. <br />
