CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 26-110 <br />APPROVING WATER CONSERVATION GRANT AGREEMENT WITH <br />METROPOLITIAN COUNCIL <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has been promoting water conservation efforts, partially <br />through implementation of a smart irrigation controller program that began in 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council offers a Water Efficiency Grant under the Legacy <br />Amendment Clean Water Fund for use in municipal water efficiency programs to offer rebates <br />or grants to customers of the municipal water supply system to replace specified water using <br />devices with approved devices that use substantially less water; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes was selected as part of the Clean Water Fund Grant and <br />awarded $21,000 to be used by June 30, 2028 for eligible water efficiency devices, such as US <br />EPA WaterSense labelled smart irrigation controllers, dishwashers, washing machines, toilets. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />That the City enter into a grant agreement with the Metropolitan Council, and directs staff to <br />coordinate the water conservation rebate program and reimbursement process. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 8th day of June 2026. <br />Rob Ra ferty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Roberta Colotti, CMC <br />City Clerk <br />
