• <br />• <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />MEETING DATE: <br />AGENDA ITEM 7 C <br />Mary Kay Wyland <br />Monday, February 26, 2001 <br />TOPIC: Ordinance 04 -2001 pertaining to Accessory <br />Buildings in Commercial /Industrial Districts <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 4 /5th Vote <br />DESCRIPTION: <br />Staff has prepared an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to accessory <br />buildings in the commercial and industrial zoning districts based on discussion at the <br />January Planning and Zoning Board Meeting. The P & Z held a Public Hearing on the <br />draft ordinance at their February 13th meeting and recommended adoption of the <br />Ordinance. <br />The proposed ordinance would allow only one (1) accessory building a maximum of 400 <br />square feet in area. Roof height would be limited to 12' and district setbacks would <br />apply. No site plan review would be required, but standard building may be required per <br />the Uniform Building Code. Roof and exterior color and material is to be compatible <br />with the existing building. Metal buildings and pole barns are unacceptable excepting <br />those used for bus storage. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Approve first reading of Ordinance No. 04 -2001 <br />2. Return to staff for further consideration <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option 1 <br />
