AGENDA ITEM 115 <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Marty Asleson <br />DATE: May 14, 2001 <br />TOPIC: Arbor Day Proclamation <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Please find attached The Arbor Day Proclamation for 2001. Arbor Day was <br />celebrated at Lino Lakes Elementary on May 4, 2001. The intention was to have <br />the Arbor Day Proclamation formally accepted by the City Council the week of <br />the celebration, however that week was one of those times the City had an <br />extended period of times between meetings. Therefore, and since the <br />proclamation was read at the celebration, and Arbor Day proclaimed for that day, <br />the City needs to retro -act on this proclamation to formalize it for Tree City USA <br />qualification. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Establish Friday the 4th of May as Lino Lakes Arbor Day by the attached <br />proclamation. <br />2. Do not act on this proclamation. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option 1. <br />
