• Only municipal solid waste (MSW) will be generated by the retail activity. Any recycling will be <br />undertaken by individual tenants of the development. Target has an aggressive program to reduce <br />waste and promote recycling. The store will have one 42 cubic yard internally loaded compactor <br />and a corrugated materials baler for paper recycling. The store is expected to generate 32,000 — <br />64,000 lbs. of trash per month and 18,000 lbs. of recyclable corrugated material per week. <br />• <br />• <br />Solid waste disposal is not a service of the City /County, but Applicant will contract with private <br />solid waste disposal vendor. Solid waste and recycling will be with the Anoka County Integrated <br />Waste Management services. <br />Any retailer selling oil or lead acid batteries must comply with applicable requirements for <br />accepting used oil and batteries. (See Exhibit F) <br />b. Identify any toxic or hazardous materials to be used or present at the site and identify <br />measures to be used to prevent them from contaminating groundwater. If the use of toxic <br />or hazardous materials will lead to a regulated waste, discharge or emission, discuss any <br />alternatives considered to minimize or eliminate the waste, discharge or emission. <br />No toxic or hazardous materials are expected to be used or present as part of the retail activities <br />of the project. Some toxic materials will be sold through the retail businesses and approved <br />methods of handling and storage of these materials are required. <br />c. Indicate the number, location, size and use of any above or below ground tanks to store <br />petroleum products or other materials, except water. Describe any emergency response <br />containment plans. <br />Not Applicable. <br />21. If the project is within the Twin Cities metropolitan area, <br />discuss its impact on the regional transportation system. <br />The "Traffic Analysis Report ", prepared by TKDA (Exhibit G) presented the following conclusions <br />and recommendation: <br />Installation of Traffic Signals at the following intersections: <br />1. Lake Drive /Main Street <br />2. Lake Drive /Apollo Drive <br />3. Lake Drive /I -35W Southbound Ramps <br />4. Lake Drive /I -35W Northbound Ramps <br />5. Lake Drive /Project Access Road <br />6. Lake Drive/Town Center Parkway <br />Other recommended improvements are: <br />1.
