MAY-24-2001 11:15 01- • Council Member NAC 612 595 9837 P.05/13 Option 1 introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. O1- RESOLUTION APPROVING PARK DEDICATION FORMULA'S AND FEES.FOR RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENTS. WHEREAS, NAC, Inc., conducted a detailed Park and Trail Dedication Study for the City of Lino Lakes dated April 3, 2001 to review park and trail dedication standards based upon development of the system identified in the Comprehensive Park and Trail Plan; and WHEREAS, the study recommended that the City Subdivision Ordinance be amended to reflect dedication language provided by Minnesota Statutes and to establish park dedication fees that are proportional to the impact that projects will generate on the park and trail system; and WHEREAS, the Park and Trail Dedication Study determined that the 2001 land value for the purpose of calculating park dedication fees is $28,000 per acre; and WHEREAS, the Park and Trail Dedication Study determined that the park and trail impact per residential unit is $1,380; and WHEREAS, the Park and Trail Dedication Study determined that the commercial industrial park and trail impact per acre is $2,614; and WHEREAS, the City Subdivision Ordinance has been amended to allow for individual determinations of park impact per development if requested by the applicant; and WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes will periodically review land values and park and trail infrastructure costs and amend the dedication fees /standards accordingly. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby establishes the following park dedication fees for residential, commercial and industrial development: Residential Charge - Commercial/Industrial Charge - $1,380 per unit $2,614 per acre Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this day of , 2001
