The new Ware Road will be along the backside of our property. This will box our property in between Hokah Drive and Ware Road. This is an unusual layout for a property to have a road bordering the front and back yard. Also, because our house is the second one off Birch Street, it is as though we will have streets on three sides. We have a simple request to ask. We would like a fence built along the back of our property that would provide screening from the additional traffic, noise, and possible businesses. We would like the fence built soon after Ware Road is constructed. Our reason for requesting this now, is the P & Z Board made it sound like the screening and buffering could wait for the business development. We don't think it should wait that long. The new Ware Road and potential businesses will have a negative impact on our quality of life. We can foresee Ware Road becoming a bypass around the Hwy 49/Birch Street intersection. If the access to the business center is from Ware Rd, the traffic problem will be compounded. Therefore we are requesting a fence to help compensate for our loss of privacy, increase in traffic and noise, shining headlights, litter, lower resale value, etc. Thank you for your time and consideration of our request.
